One year of borrowing from the Information Collection

By Administrator | 3 August 2015

One year ago, State Library of Queensland began lending items from our Information Collection.  In the past 12 months almost 13,000 books, DVDs and magazines have been borrowed by our members.

The Information Collection is located on Levels 2 and 3 with many more items stored in our repository on Level 5. The collection covers all subjects from technology to music, literature to chemistry, children’s books, cook books, car manuals and more. This collection serves as a resource for both general knowledge and research purposes. The value of our Information Collection lies in its use. The more it is used by our visitors and members, the greater its value.

Queensland residents are welcome to join the library and borrow from the 750,000+ items in the Information Collection. Items available for loan include books, pamphlets, music scores, CDs, DVDs and videos, magazines and journals.
