The Korean Culture Festival was held on Saturday 11 August 2018 in King George Square in Brisbane.
It is one of the biggest and most entertaining Korean festivals held during the year.

This festival is presented by the Korean Society of Queensland to celebrate Korean heritage, food, cultural performance and above all the Korean people’s presence in Australian history.
The day started with a pledge of allegiance, the national anthems of the Republic of Korea and Australia sung in Korean by the Brisbane Men’s Choir and a silent tribute to the Fallen Patristics.
Gwang Hoon Hyun, the President of the Korean Society of Queensland then welcomed distinguished guests, which included the Consul-General of the Republic of Korea Sangsoo Yoon, Lord Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk, Minster for Multicultural Affairs Stirling Hinchliffe, Steven Huang and many more.
The day continued with delicious Korean food and live music and performances including pan-sori (Korean traditional singing), Arirang (Korean dancers) Hanmadang (Korean traditional band), K-pop dance, Taekwondo (Korean martial arts) and children's activities.
Other diverse cultures of Brisbane also participated in this day of celebration such as the Keiko & Co Kiribati (Hawaii dancers), Bolivia Marka Dancers (Bolivia-Peru dancers), Ishka (Celtic Rock band) and hip-hop bands Citrus and db Dance.
