International Association of Music Libraries Conference 2010

Conference attendees at the 2010 International Association of Music Libraries Conference were welcomed to the State Library of Queensland on Thursday 2nd September for the afternoon session Looking forward in music libraries and archives. Other themes of this year's conference included Challenges for Music Libraries and Archives of the Future and Linking and Serving Musical Communities.

Conference attendees met around the State Library's Talking Circle on level 1. The Talking Circle is a gathering place for storytelling talks and social events and is a part of the Library's Indigenous Knowledge Centre kuril dhagun.

On level 4 in the John Oxley Library Reading Room conference delegates viewed a display of music related items from the State Library's collections including Indigenous musical recordings and compositions.
