Each club decorated their selected alcove of the ballroom. The Neptune Ladies' Club went with the theme "Neptune's Cave", decorating their alcove with seaweed and shells. A prize for the best decorated alcove was eventually awarded to the Y.M.C.A. for their rainbow coloured effort.

A brief account of the Hockey Ball can be found in The Courier-Mail.

These two photographs of attendees posing for photographs at the Hockey Ball are part of our collection.
