Help us collect political ephemera from the 2020 Queensland state election

By JOL Admin | 15 September 2020

Can you help us collect non-Brisbane electoral ephemera?

The State Library of Queensland has a significant and historical collection of ephemera.  This material, which is generally regarded by most of us as “throw away” items, provides a unique perspective into Queensland’s social life, popular culture and political viewpoints.

Political ephemera is an area of particular interest.  With the 2020 Queensland state election coming up we are very keen to receive items such as:

  • How to vote cards
  • Posters
  • Flyers
  • Placards
  • Stickers
  • T-shirts
  • Magnets
  • Badges
  • Newsletters

Our staff are always a great help in collecting ephemera from the Brisbane area, but we need your help once again to collect regional material.

Any election material to add to our collection can be forwarded to:

OR dropped at our Welcome Desk, located on level 1 of our South Bank building.

The State Library, and all Queenslanders present and future, thank you for your assistance.
