Everyone’s a scientist, everyone’s an artist! Roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a one-day-only celebration of arts and sciences, learning, play, and adventure on Saturday 6 October.

Fun Palaces are about all of us making things together: a public event where arts and sciences meet.

Inventors, researchers, artists, performers, storytellers, and adventurers from across the community will gather to share their skills and let you show off your talents.

Spend the whole day making art with a twist. Take part in the experiments and games; draw, write, dance and explore the scientific mysteries of our weird and wonderful world. The possibilities are endless.

There’s DIY laptop maintenance; water bomb painting; thermo graphic tshirt printing; build your own library in Minecraft; and playing and experimenting with non-Newtonian fluid and more…!

All the workshops are free. Drop-in activities are available on the day, and bookings for our workshops are now open!

Some of the fun workshops include:

Ozobots and Vibrabots
3D Printed Beads or Talisman
DIY Laptop Repair
Let's Dance
StreatBeat School of Hard Knocks
Non Newtonian Fluid
Flubber Bouncy Balls
Water Bomb Painting
