Entrepreneur's community spirit helps hundreds of Aussie kids

Daniel Stoten believes that giving back to the community is a true hallmark of Aussie spirit.

Stoten is the entrepreneur behind Localsearch, an online and offline marketing agency which spans more than 200 cities and regional towns to help Australian businesses raise brand awareness and reach more customers.

As his company has grown over the years, Stoten's connection to the communities he works in has grown alongside it.

He says that as a business owner, it's important to notice where your communities need support and do what you can to reach out.

It's this philanthropic streak which inspired Stoten to create the Localsearch Little Legends program, which has supported more than 330 football clubs across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory since 2009.

"My clients would talk about their kids, and how they needed new sports uniforms. Or knew a junior club that was struggling to reach healthy membership levels, and I thought, we can do better than this," he says. Read more
