Ed Sheeran visited kuril dhagun

By Administrator | 25 March 2015

Over the weekend we had a very special visit from none other than Ed Sheeran himself! Our friends at AIME (Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience) had organised for their students to meet the famous singer and musician during one of their mentoring sessions in kuril dhagun.

AIME is an educational program that is proven to support Indigenous students through high school and into university, employment or further education and they run a wonderful program to encourage and nurture young people. There were 30 participants involved on Saturday and each had a particular interest in music. They worked with acclaimed artists Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou (of Busby Marou) and Troy Brady throughout the morning. Students split into groups and worked on creating a song to present to their peers, little did they know they would later get the opportunity to perform for an International super star. It was priceless to see their faces when they found out who they were about to meet. kuril dhagun's Event Project Officer - Elena Wangurra gave Ed a super quick tour of kuril dhagun before he did a media call and met the very lucky teens.

We love hosting these types of events and seeing our venues alive with excitement.
