Coorparoo Heights, Brisbane, 1916. John Oxley Library, State Library of Queensland

This real estate map from 1916 advertises 174 allotments of land for sale at the Coorparoo Heights Estate, now part of the Brisbane suburb of Camp Hill. The estate bounds Martha Street, Lavington Street, Waverley Road and Kelsey Street.

Prior to the sale extensive publicity was published in Brisbane newspapers.

"Absolutely the finest near Brisbane. Within three-mile radius of General Post Office. Within eight minutes' walk of the Coorparoo tram terminus, and fifteen minutes from the railway station. Every resident in Brisbane should endeavour to secure a block in this charming locality". (The Telegraph, 19 October 1916, p.10)

A public auction was to be held at the site on the afternoon of 21 October 1916.
