Old photographs and home movies provide an important window into our past. State Library has extensive historical collections documenting Queensland, Queenslanders and our history, but some periods and events are less well documented than others.

This is why we invite people to consider donating personal and family papers, photographs and other items to become part of the John Oxley Library. Currently we are seeking photographs and home movies relating to the 1970s and 1980s Royal visits of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip to Queensland. If this sounds like something you can help with, we'd love to hear from you.

If you have any materials you'd consider donating please fill in our donation enquiry form
