About the Community Exhibition Program
Due to popular demand, kuril dhagun’s exhibition program will be guided by community groups and individuals for six months of each year to co-curate community exhibitions.
This program provides the opportunity for individuals, organisations or art centres to deliver a new suite of exhibitions focused on working with, by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We invite you to share your collections with us. The exhibition can be ready to go or in development; showcasing new work or a retrospect; a collection or ephemera; or related to the anniversary of a special event. All enquiries are welcome.
Selected parties will be supported through the Exhibition Process by the kuril dhagun exhibition team from curatorial development to marketing, design and installation.
kuril dhagun is an indigenous space. It is an initiative of State Library designed specifically to inspire an audience and participation around Indigenous culture. It facilitates community connection, advocacy, and the creating, sharing and preserving of Indigenous knowledge, ideas and experiences.
Applications for the 2018 exhibition program will open towards the end of 2017.
