New ebooks at SLQ
Researching climate change? Or doing an assignment on ancient Egypt? As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality information resources to all Queenslanders, State Library has recently purchased a further 31 e-reference titles for our online collections. You can use them from the State Library, or from home using your e-services card. They include Encyclopedia of internet technologies and applications, Climate change in context, Oxford encyclopedia of theatre and performance and Oxford encyclopedia of women in world history.
You can access these on our website through Gale Virtual Reference Library or Oxford Reference Online using the One Search catalogue e-resources tab.

Tickets selling fast for The Queen of Colours
Starting on 30 June, The Queen of Colours is sure to be a sell out show. Based on the children's book by German author Jutta Bauer, this delightful production features painting, shadow puppetry, video projection, storytelling… and a live accordion player.

Three new virtual scores
Australian anthem with words by James Brunton Stephens and music by Richard Thomas Jefferies is an example of a patriotic song, many of which were composed during World War One.
Brothers in arms: patriotic song with words and music by R. Molyneux Herbert was composed in the 1890s.
Loved and lost by Reginald Isbell is an early twentieth century art song.

Picture Queensland available through One Search
The Picture Queensland collection formerly available through the Queensland Digital Library has now been integrated into the State Library's One Search service. Search for almost 50,000 images from the photographic collections of the State Library of Queensland's John Oxley Library, reflecting Queensland's people and places, past and present.
