Quentin BryceGovernment: Quentin Bryce, AC

It’s a long way from Ilfracombe to Governor-General of Australia, but Quentin Bryce has made the move with characteristic grace and dedication.

Bryce spent her early years in central western Queensland and went on to become a talented lawyer, academic and human rights advocate.  Her former roles include Governor of Queensland, Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner, and founding chair and Chief Executive Officer of the National Childcare Accreditation Council.

In addition to her work, Quentin Bryce has raised five children with husband Michael.
