About Game On

Get ready to play your way through the history of videogames at the international blockbuster exhibition Game On.

This action-packed celebration of videogames culture has thrilled more than one million players of all ages around the world. This summer it’s here at the State Library of Queensland from
17 November 2008 – 15 February 2009.
The exhibition is open from 10am - 5pm daily.

Game On tracks the development of videogames from the earliest computer games to arcade-era hits and the very latest from today’s billion-dollar industry. With more than 100 playable games, as well as rarely seen consoles, controllers and collectables, this is a showcase of games history like no other.

Exhibition organised by Barbican Art Gallery, London. The Barbican Centre is provided by the City of London Corporation.

  • 1. Children 5-15 yrs. ID required for pensions, seniors, aged care, unemployed, health card holders, full-time students. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by and adult (16 years +). Some games are for mature audiences only and are not suited for children under the age of 15.
  • 2. Group bookings can only be made through The Library Shop, Level 1, State Library of Queensland or phone 07 3840 7576.
