Story Lab 2012: writing workshop

Concoct stories using more than just words! Step in to the Story Lab and unleash your imagination these holidays.
Be inspired by video, audio, images and text to write your own original, outrageous stories.
With the help of children’s author Tristan Bancks and his fancy new Story Scrapbook app, spend the day collecting brilliant ideas and mashing them together to come up with tall tales and strange stories. It will be a fast-moving, hands-on day filled with fun, laughter and creative inspiration.
Workshops will be held on:
- Mon 2 July, 10am-4pm for ages 9-12
- Tue 3 July, 10am-4pm for ages 12-16
About Tristan Bancks
Tristan Bancks tells stories for the page and screen. His background is in acting and filmmaking and he is the author of several books for children and teens, including Mac Slater, Coolhunter, the Nit Boy series, Galactic Adventures, First Kids in Space and My Life and Other Stuff I Made Up. Tristan loves telling fast-moving stories for young people and inspiring others to create.
