Best apps for kids
This event is now in the past.
When it comes to quality apps and games for young children, the iTunes and app stores can seem like a Wild West of options.
As with any screen time for young kids, the key is quality content and meaningful engagement – so how do you ensure that when your 4 year old gets a hold of your iPhone on that long car drive they will get something out of the experience that’s more than just killing time?
Literacy experts, parents and game developers share their tips for the best free and paid apps available for children ages 2 – 8. Join us as we explore their leaderboard of the top 10 scorers.
There will be two sessions on Sat 16 Feb at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
On Saturday, there will also be a kids activity taking place in the same space from 10am-1pm. Children aged 0 to 8 (or even older) can o create and bring to life their hand-made digital avatars with the help of the resident game maker Brett Harris. You can listen to the talk, while the kids are creating masterpieces.
