A night in the JOL: Key acquisitions: JOL’s growing collection of architectural records

Architectural Records

Join retired architect Richard Allom and architect, academic and historian, Don Watson, in conversation with Phil Brown, as they reveal some of the treasures held in John Oxley Library’s growing collection of architectural records.

Richard Allom is a pioneering specialist heritage architect and his business archive held by SLQ represents the story of the development of the conservation movement and the wider awareness of conservation in Australia. Don Watson is an adjunct professor at the University of Queensland and former John Oxley Library Fellow. Don has used the John Oxley Library collection extensively for his research.

A night in the JOL is a monthly series delving into Queensland’s rich and diverse history. This is the final event in the series for 2013.
