Food Tales in Mount Isa with Julie Goodwin
This event is now in the past.
Food Tales brings words and stories to the table in a series of luscious narrative feasts.
Join MasterChef winner and food writer Julie Goodwin as she travels through Mount Isa, Richmond, Julie Creek and Cloncurry, celebrating the many traditions, cultures, and memories contained within recipes old and new.
Julie Goodwin is the epitome of the busy Australian mum dividing her time between appearances on TV and food events, writing books and recipe columns, and spending time with her family. In 2009, Julie became the first ever winner of MasterChef. Viewers loved her honesty, sense of humour, and humble cooking style, and when her first cookbook, Our Family Table, was published, she became one of Australia’s best-selling authors.
Julie has regular spots on MIX 106.5’s national Body and Soul radio show and Nine’s award-winning breakfast show Today. She also writes a regular column in Australian Women’s Weekly, and will soon release Gather, a new cookbook that celebrates the family-focused style of cooking she loves.
