In conversation with Garth Nix
Meet one of Australia’s most acclaimed writers of young adult fantasy fiction at this special event celebrating the National Year of Reading.
Garth Nix is the New York Times best-selling author of the Keys to the Kingdom series, as well as the acclaimed novels Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen.
His latest works include the Troubletwisters series (co-authored with Sean Williams) and A Confusion of Princes.

Professor Pearce is the Discipline Leader of Creative Writing and Literary Studies in Drama/Film and TV/Creative Writing and Literary Studies at QUT. She has an international reputation in youth and children’s writing and an extensive publication record in that area. Professor Pearce is past Queensland board member of the May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust and the Association for the Study of Australian Literature.
Teagan Chilcott is a 2012 kuril dhagun Indigenous Writing Fellow, part of the black&write! project. She is currently working on her winning manuscript The Rise of the Fallen, a young adult fantasy set in South-East Queensland which will be published in 2013.
