UQ Architecture lecture — Paul Jones

Paul Jones

This event is now in the past.

Join us for the seventh lecture in the 2015 UQ Architecture lecture series, presented by SLQ's Asia Pacific Design Library and the UQ School of Architecture.

This annual lecture series brings together forward-thinking architects and provocateurs who are each engaged in the generation of new knowledge, ideas and strategies within the field of architecture.

The seventh presenter for 2015 is Paul Jones, Director – Architect from OMA's Hong Kong branch. Before joining OMA in 2013, Paul was Director of Brisbane's Donovan Hill Architects, architects of SLQ's own South Bank building as well as Santos Place in Brisbane CBD and the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation Kelvin Grove.

At OMA, Paul has expanded his scope to international projects such as the Hanwha Galleria Retail Complex in Korea, and the Wuhan Garden Expo and Kunming Southwest International Ethnic Cultural Art Communication Centre both in China.

Join us to hear Paul share insights from his management and direction of these projects through OMA's Asian office.

The series commences on 10 March and runs weekly on Tuesday evenings (excluding 7 April) at 6.30pm, with networking and refreshments from 6pm. If you can't make it to the event, watch the live stream online or check out recording after the event on Design Online.

Check out the full program of speakers or watch online video recordings of lectures from previous years.

Come along to widen your knowledge base, be inspired and gain valuable insight into the design processes and solutions of the contemporary architect.

Architectural professionals who attend the series will be eligible for 2 formal continuing professional development (CPD) points.
