UQ Architecture lecture — Francesca Hughes

Francesca Hughes

This event is now in the past.

Join us for the second lecture in the 2015 UQ Architecture lecture series, presented by SLQ's Asia Pacific Design Library and the UQ School of Architecture.

This annual lecture series brings together forward-thinking architects and provocateurs who are each engaged in the generation of new knowledge, ideas and strategies within the field of architecture.

The second presenter for 2015 is Francesca Hughes founding partner of arts/architecture practice Hughes Meyer Studio in London. Francesca formerly ran a design studio at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and is the author of numerous works including The Architect: Reconstructing her Practice and The Architecture of Error. She is currently working with artist Catherine Yass on Piano Falling, an Arts Council-funded multimedia project involving a grand piano and a very tall building.

The series commences on 10 March and runs weekly on Tuesday evenings (excluding 7 April) at 6.30pm, with networking and refreshments from 6pm. If you can't make it to the event, watch the live stream online or check out the recording after the event on Design Online.

Check out the full program of speakers or watch online video recordings of lectures from previous years.

Come along to widen your knowledge base, be inspired and gain valuable insight into the design processes and solutions of the contemporary architect.

Architectural professionals who attend the series will be eligible for 2 formal continuing professional development (CPD) points.
