Think Outside: Society
Think Outside invites local, national and international design thinkers to contemplate a ‘wicked problem’ outside their area. Think Outside: Society, the first event in the series, asks design thinkers to explore the question 'how might we design out homelessness?'
Homelessness is a complex issue, which encompasses many other societal problems such as unemployment, mental health, family breakdown and domestic violence. This complexity means there is no easy solution to homelessness.
Each speaker will have 10 minutes to present their ideas, setting the platform for a considered debate and discussion around the practical implications of these new ideas. The audience will be invited to respond to the challenge prior to the event and to share their thoughts as part of the final debate and discussion.
