Antonio Sanmartín: Phase Transitions
This event is now in the past.
Join forward thinking architects at the APDL lecture series - free weekly talks exploring architectural issues within, around and beyond the city.
On 27 March, Antonio Sanmartín (aSZ arquitectes, Barcelona) presents several projects and built work where memory and experience operate at the base of a transcription that becomes the architecture.
A discontinuous reality is the site for the “transfer” between the order of things and the order of ideas and vice versa. The research project “1a cosa para 2s tiempos”, developed for an archaeological site in the north coast of Spain as part of the ESARQ-UIC Degree Projects, proves that their academic activity does not operate in the real world but in an equivalent or tantamount reality.
Antonio Sanmartín is architect and associate Professor of Architectural Design at ETSAB-UPC and ESARQ-UIC, Barcelona.
This session is presented by Luis Feduchi from UQ School of Architecture.
The APDL lecture series is on every Tuesday evening (excl 3 & 10 Apr) until 29 May, 6pm drinks for 6.30pm lecture. Check out the full program of local and international speakers.
