APDL series: Side project - Design & Thinking
This event is now in the past.
The Asia Pacific Design Library lecture series returns to SLQ to uncover and explore the Side Project and the inspiration that exists outside the world of design.
The series launches with the premier Australian screening of Design & Thinking, followed by a panel discussion with Yen Trinh (urbanist and designer), Lindy Johnson (Creative Agent) and Tanja Hall (President of AGDA Queensland), and facilitated by Shane Thompson (2012 Queensland Smart Design Fellow).
After the event, take the opportunity to discuss your own project during option post event drinks in the APDL lounge, tickets $15 (incl refreshments).
Design & Thinking movie
How do we fully engage organizations to think about the changing landscape of business, culture and society? Inspired by design thinking, this documentary grabs businessman, designers, social change-makers and unlikely individuals to portrait what they have in common when facing this ambiguous 21st century. What is design thinking? How is it applied in business models? How are people changing the world with their own creative minds? It is a call to the conventional minds to change and collaborate.
