Traditional Japanese fabric flowers (NEW)

Traditional Japanese fabric flowers

This event is now in the past.

Learn to make traditional Japanese fabric flowers to decorate anything from clothing to cards to jewellery in this new workshop. Paper artist and jewellery designer Mabina Alaka will show you how to make the flowers using Japanese fabric, and use them to create a brooch and earrings.

All materials are provided, and you can purchase additional kits and equipment, as well as stunning ready-made pieces by the artist to inspire your crafting at home.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your workshop to register with the facilitator and secure your materials.

Check out the other craft workshops available in the SLQ Shop this winter, to learn other skills from local artists.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+.
