Tides: Performing the Flood

Grey St South Brisbane during 1890 flood. John Oxley Library, SLQ

This event is now in the past.

Presented by SLQ and The Greenhouse @ Queensland Theatre Company.

Two performers bring to life the stories, experiences and photographs from the Floodlines exhibition, creating a simply told theatrical journey from 1893 to 2011 and reinforcing the resilience, wit and spirit of the people who call Queensland home — no matter what nature throws at them.

This intimate show invites audiences to take a walk upstream, and wade through time, with the performance spanning two venues over the course of the evening: the Red Box at SLQ and The GreenHouse at Queensland Theatre Company.

Please note: Some visitors may find content in this exhibition distressing. We have worked with Department of Health and Department of Communities for advice and to provide support material in the exhibition and at events.
