Demo Writing and Recording 13-16s (26 Jun)

Song Writing 13 - 16

This event is now in the past.

Learn the fundamentals of song writing and how to realise and record a demo using Garage Band – a simple and accessible music production software application. Working alongside Brisbane musician Hannah Macklin in the Digital Media Lab at The Edge, unlock your creativity and explore the possibilities of expression, rhyme and form.

All materials will be supplied for the workshop and participants will take home a copy of any recordings created on the day.

Parent/carer supervision is not required for these workshops. Upon arrival, participants must visit the registration desk, located outside the Infozone on level 1, to sign in and to join the workshop group.

Please download the guide for parents  (PDF 345.3 KB) for a copy of the consent form as well as more information about the workshops. Each participant must complete a consent form and hand it in when they arrive for their Story Lab workshops. The Digital Futures Lab is open 7 days a week during State Library opening hours.

This session is part of the Story Lab winter 2017 workshop series.
