Story Lab: Sound FX workshop (ages 13-17)

Sound effects workshop

This event is now in the past.

Got some extra rubber gloves and carrots lying around? A penchant for spicing up silent films?

You may just be a Foley artist! Foley techniques (or Sound Effects) are used to make sounds
for soundtracks. Think slamming doors and birds’ wings flapping, bangs and crashes and
explosions. Explore all this as you score and record a movie soundtrack with traditional and
sensational Foley techniques.

This workshop is for ages 13-17. For information regarding workshops for ages 9-12, click here. All materials are supplied for the workshops and participants will take home their own creations.

Download an information sheet, consent and release form and permission form. The consent and release form and permission form are to be handed in when you sign your child into their first course.
