Apple Distinguished Educators: Transforming learning in the middle years
This event is now in the past.
In this workshop we explore the ways the iPad is transforming learning for students in Year 5 to Year 9.
Through a challenge-based learning approach, we will explore the ways in which iPad encourages curiosity, fosters higher order thinking and provides opportunities for students to engage in purposeful and intellectually challenging projects while becoming highly skilled in literacy and numeracy. Through demonstrating iPad accessibility features, we will showcase the best ways to individualise learning and support diverse leaners to engage with the curriculum.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own iPad. There will be a limited number available to borrow at the session.
SLQ's Digital skills workshop series is presented in partnership with Apple Distinguished Educators to deliver professional development workshops for teachers and education professionals. Each session is supported with an apps list and registered teachers will also be provided with PD certificates on completion each session.
