UR{BNE} Film Festival 2013

UR[BNE] Film Festival is an annual festival featuring a range of films that inform and inspire about urban design, architecture and design thinking. Join us for a full day of jam-packed films, critical discussion and networking.
Your ticket gives you full day access to three films, a networking event and dumplings (courtesy of Street Food Australia). You can pick and choose what you want to see - stay for the full day or just come for the feature at 5.30pm.
Presented by SLQ's SLiQ Flicks and Asia Pacific Design Library in support of the UR{BNE} Festival.
Program of films
2pm: Urban Roots (95min, 2011). Looking at the themes of community and urban farming from Detroit, US.
4pm: Diller Scofidio + Renfro: Reimagining Lincoln Center and the High Line (55min, 2012). Looking at architecture and public spaces in New York.
5.30pm: Skateistan: To Live and Skate Kabul (100min, 2010). Covering the themes of community and public space design in Afghanistan
Following the screenings there will be a Q&A with Katherine Skull, Amy Saunders (Emerging Design Award Winner 2012) , Malcom Middleton (Queensland Government Architect) and Scott Shearer (Brisbane Skateboarding Association) around the themes of the festival including, urban farming, skate design, architecture, public spaces and landscape design.
Ticket price includes food, provided by Street Food Australia. There will also be a cash bar on site.
