Crumb

Crumb

This event is now in the past.

An hilarious and mysterious journey through the artistic genius and sexual obsession of provocative cartoonist and satirist Robert Crumb - creator of Fritz the Cat, Mr Natural and illustrator extraordinaire of American Splendor.

A portrait of a man moving through, and eventually past, his times, Crumb not only illustrates the odd artistic expression of a very odd man, but serves as a postscript to the underground expression of the 1960s.  Crumb is a triumph in portraying his 'real' and cartoonish sides and the point at which these facets merge as one confused existence.

Crumb is screened as part of State Library of Queensland's SLiQ Flicks Sunday free film program.
