Belladiva presents Aria moderna

In the hands and voices of Belladiva, the operatic aria is revised, refreshed, renewed and revamped. The traditional concept and design of some of opera's finest melodies will be challenged and deconstructed through contemporary eyes and ears.

The four soprano voices of Belladiva create new and exciting crossover music with some of Brisbane's finest electronic producers, exchanging grand piano accompaniment for a laptop and drum machine. Combining elements of cabaret, recital and staged concert presentation, the program features modern versions of music from Purcell, Handel, Monteverdi, Delibes, Mascagni and Faure.
