The Australian South Sea Islanders

The exhibition reveals the hidden and difficult stories of Australian South Sea Islanders in Queensland and showcases a resilient and vibrant community today. It features storytelling and contemporary and historical art, artefacts and photographs from private and state collections including State Library of Queensland, Queensland Museum, and the Queensland State Archives. The Australian South Sea Islanders is part of the ASSI 150 SEQ Commemorative Program, a consortium of community representatives, local government, and cultural organisations in south east Queensland.
