Storytelling has changed form over the years, with social media and emails taking over letters and diary entries. However, word of mouth remains strong today.

Hear the stories of 1893 local flood heroes told by their grandchildren in conversation with Phil Brown, as they discuss the how disaster unites generations and the power of history repeating.

Speakers are:

Peter Clarke – Grandson of HC Stanley, designer of Indooroopilly Railway bridges
John Hockings – Great grandson of AJ Hockings, former Mayor of Brisbane
Tony Love – Great grandson of James Love, Isles Love and Company auctioneers
