Listen to visiting author, historian and long standing member of The Western Front Association Paul Cobb as he provides a deeper insight into one of the most significant battles of the First World War.  
            
Paul has collected research from esteemed military museums, interviewed veterans, consulted respected sources and visited battlefields culminating in the publication of his acclaimed book, Fromelles 1916 in 2007.

This talk covers the formation of two Divisions, one Imperial and one Australian, their preparations for the battle, the ill-fated attack itself and the aftermath, plus forms of commemoration.
