Lego Mindstorms 8-12s (26 Jun)

Lego Mindstorms

This event is now in the past.

The robots are coming! In this hands-on workshop, build a LEGO Mindstorms robot and learn to program it with simple programming language. Unleash the creative powers of the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 set to create and command robots that walk, talk, think and do anything you can imagine. Work together in groups to create solutions for the robots that you create to solve a variety of challenges.

All materials will be supplied for the workshop.

Parent/carer supervision is not required for these workshops. Upon arrival, participants must visit the registration desk, located outside the Infozone on level 1, to sign in and to join the workshop group.

Please download the guide for parents (PDF 399.5 KB) for a copy of the consent form as well as more information about the workshops. Each participant must complete a consent form and hand it in when they arrive for their Story Lab workshops. The Digital Futures Lab is open 7 days a week during State Library opening hours.

This session is part of the Story Lab winter 2017 workshop series. It will also be repeated on 26, 28 & 29 June.

This exclusive tour will give you a hands-on introduction to the space, which you are then free to explore. The Digital Futures Lab is open 7 days a week during State Library opening hours.

Note: This guided tour is not supervised as part of the Story Lab workshops. Children and young people can be accompanied by an adult, or take the tour independently, provided they have been given permission to sign out of the Story Lab workshops.
