Reading Nook family fun

Reading Nook family fun

Visit kuril dhagun on Wednesdays during the school holidays for free activities in the Reading Nook inspired by our new showcase Palm Island and Our People.

Come and join us for storytelling, games, arts, and crafts. You can even weave a sea creature to add to our fishing net installation.

The Reading Nook is a place for families within State Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander space, kuril dhagun. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Brisbane River, share a storybook from the shelf, and play games and language activities that help introduce elements of traditional culture to children and young people.
