The Odda-Tour-eum

A hand-painted anatomical model of a female silkworm moth made from papier-mache, metal and plaster by Dr Louis Thomas Jérome Auzoux, in Paris, France. Purchased 1884.

This event is now in the past.

An ODD tour for ages 5-8

Mp3, 2, 1 blast off for a journey through the State Library’s weird and wonderful collections.

What may seem like a silent tour to those on the outside is actually a wacky adventure full of crazy characters and kooky collections. Book in and put on your headphones for the chance to enjoy the oddest tour you've ever been on.

Created and performed by Griffith University final year applied theatre students on industry placement and Drama Education students.

The Odda-Tour-eum is presented as part of the Out of the Box festival for children. Check out State Library's menagerie of other ODD encounters on offer during the festival, including an ODD performance, an ODD exhibition, an ODD workshop, and an ODD activity!
