Cartoon workshop

Discover the art of cartooning and create your own characters! These workshops will develop skills and talents for writing and drawing cartoons while encouraging you to explore your own style.
Workshops will be held on:
- Mon 14 Jan, 2pm-4pm – for ages 9-12 with Phil Judd [sold out]
- Mon 21 Jan, 2pm-4pm – for ages 9-12 with Gary Clark [sold out]
- Wed 23 Jan, 2pm-4pm– for ages 9-12 with Brian Doyle [sold out]
- Thu 24 Jan, 2pm-4pm – for ages 12-16 with Gary Clark
All materials are supplied. Cartoon workshop participants also take home a sketch pad, pencils and pencil case.
Workshop presenters
Gary Clark
Creator of the famous cartoon strip Swamp, Gary has won the Australian Cartoonist’s Association Stanley Award for Best Comic Strip Artist eight times. www.swamp.com.au
Phil Judd
Phil began his career in animation working with Hanna-Barbera in the 1980's and now works on a range of cartoon, graphic and animation projects. www.comic-express.com
Brian Doyle
Brian is a freelance cartoonist with a lifetime of experience in the advertising industry. www.briandoyle.com.au

This workshop is part of SLQ’s Cartoon, Animation and Manga workshop series. There are two workshops each day and discounts are available for full day bookings. Check out the full program.
