Out of the Box Festival for Children
The 2012 Out of the Box Festival for Children runs from 12 to 17 June, offering 90 free events, 70 in-theatre performances and more than 120 workshops for children.
The festival takes place in and across the Cultural Centre from its hub at QPAC to the State Library of Queensland, Queensland Museum and the Gallery of Modern Art.
Out of the Box 2012 features a program of events both ticketed and free including theatre performances, an interactive workshop program, a number of free outdoor events for families and a symposium fostering conversations enquiring into early childhood learning.
State Library’s offering to the festival is all inspired by The Odditoreum, a travelling exhibition developed by the Powerhouse Museum with Shaun Tan.
