Library Board of Queensland Award
Congratulations to Professor Christine Bruce, winner of the 2010 Library Board of Queensland Award. This award was not offered in 2011.
The State Library of Queensland is Australia's leading library of Queensland's documentary heritage, major reference and research collections and advocate of and partner with public libraries across Queensland.
The Library Board of Queensland Award recognises the achievement of excellence in the work of libraries or distinguished support for libraries in Queensland. The Award recognises achievement or support relating to any aspect of the work of libraries, including: development of collections / collaboration / advocacy / research / contribution to professional associations / education and training of library workers.
The Award is for achievement or support extending over any period of time, which has advanced any library or group of libraries in Queensland, including all types of libraries.
The Award is open to individuals and organisations. Eligibility is not restricted to the library sector.
The Award attracts a $5,000 prize.
