Whether you fancy your books action-packed, award winning or filled with facts, we'll have something for you.

Come in and explore our comprehensive range of fiction, history, design, and Indigenous culture titles, and a great range of titles by and about Queenslanders. Browse through the new releases or comb the fiction backlist for an old favourite.

Children will find the perfect book. We have a quality range of children’s books including fiction for all ages, and a great range of activity and craft books that encourage learning and knowledge in a fun and entertaining way.

But, if the choice is too difficult, you can always rely on our friendly and knowledgeable staff to recommend the right book for you. You can even put in a request for an out of print book. We’ll do whatever we can to get the book you want.

Gifts and merchandise for sale

If you are looking for a gift, we have a selection of paper based jewellery by Queensland artists, beautiful journals, and decorative papers as well as a range of exclusive gift cards and prints.

Family historians and genealogists can purchase from a range of conservation materials to keep those precious memories safe for future generations.

The State Library of Queensland is a Premier Partner of the Brisbane Writers Festival and The Library Shop is the Festival's official bookseller.
