Open the door to an amazing world of words and pictures in the Story Salon, a creative space to let your imagination soar. With daily artist-led sessions, free play installations, and comfy spots to share stories, this is a space where the whole family can kick back, explore, and imagine.

Frank and Eunice are collecting your colourful designs. Stamp a drawing of your dream home, don’t stop there get creative! Glue your artwork to the car. Go inside and find yourself on camera. Make some Cadillac TV. Frank and Eunice Corley drove their pink Cadillac around the streets to take black and white photos of all the homes in Brisbane in the 1970’s. Colour their black and white world! The Cadillac interactive installation has been created by artist Sue Loveday.

Explore the infinite and imaginative ways you can create stories in these daily artist-led activities at the Story Salon! Home: a suburban obsession is a State Library exhibition about the allure of home and the stories found within, inspired by one of the largest digitised photographic collections of Queensland houses.
On this special guided tour for families, experience incredible artworks, discover the Corley's story and listen to a soundscape to imagine what the suburbs may have sounded like.

The ever-popular Story Lab program is happening at The Edge for Summer Festival, with a series of mind stimulating workshops at the frontier of creativity, storytelling and technology. Places are limited and tickets sell fast, so be quick to book! Bookings essential.

Using a custom-made robotics kit designed by volunteers at The Edge Fabrication Lab, engineer a robot racer using Arduino circuits, motors, and Lego. Once your racers are complete, design and fabricate a large scale race track.SOLD OUT
