Book prices: a tutorial

You can use the Web to find (and price) out-of-print, secondhand and antiquarian books.

Bookdealers list the books they have to sell with one or more specialist websites. The books are usually described by title, author, place of publication, publisher, date published, condition of the book, and price.

You can search the websites free of charge and you are under no obligation to buy.

Let's check the current market price of a book, using the example of Sea spray and smoke drift by Adam Lindsay Gordon.
