How to pay your invoice

You can pay your State Library of Queensland invoice in the following ways:

You can pay your invoice online using our secure payment form.

When making a payment please ensure you include:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Invoice number (located on the left hand side of the Tax Invoice)
  • Amount to be paid (total listed under lost item replacement fee).

Pay by EFT

You can pay your invoice by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) via your bank.  State Library account details are:

Pay by phone

You can pay your invoice by phoning 07 3840 7850 between 8.00-4.00 Mon-Fri.  
Please ensure you have your credit card details and invoice number on hand so we can identify your State Library membership account and invoice details.

Pay by cheque or money order

You can pay your invoice by cheque or money order made out to State Library of Queensland.  
Send your payment with a copy of your invoice to:

Payment processing

  • Payment is processed within 5 working days (Mon-Fri)
  • Once your payment is processed a receipt is issued and your borrowing privileges automatically re-instated.

Why you have received an invoice

  • An item is considered lost and an invoice issued once the item is 42 days overdue
  • Reminder and overdue notifications are sent to you prior to an invoice being issued
  • Once an invoice is issued your borrowing privilege is suspended until the item is returned or payment is received
  • If the item is returned prior to payment you will not incur any fees or fines and your borrowing privilege is automatically reinstated without penalty
  • The replacement cost is based on State Library of Queensland Annual Asset Valuation figures, plus an $8 non-refundable administration fee.  These figures are reviewed annually
  • The purchase of a new copy may be negotiated in lieu of a payment, please contact Collection Access to discuss the terms and conditions
  • A refund will be given for an item paid for and returned within a six month period and is based on the condition of the item returned
  • A refund will not be issued for items paid for and returned after a six month period.

Appeals regarding replacement costs/penalties are to be made via:
