Many who have lived through times of war have spoken of the passionate intensity they experienced when finding love amid the chaos and confusion. This kit exhibition focuses on Queensland wedding photographs from the WWI and WWII eras. It features reproductions of documents, images and letters from the John Oxley Library’s Charles Rowland Williams Papers telling the tragic story of “Dambuster” and Flying Officer Charles Rowland Williams, and his love for fiancé Gwendoline (Bobbie) Parfitt.
