e-services membership provides you with access to the State Library of Queensland's collections and services.

How to register
If you are a Queensland resident you can register online or onsite.
Online - complete the registration form. An e-services card will be mailed to your home address within 5 working days.
Onsite - register in person at the level 3 Information Desk at the Southbank site. Proof of ID and your permanent home address will be required.
- A parent/guardian declaration is required for applicants under 18 years.

If you live outside Queensland and are planning to visit the State Library, you can register for a non-Queensland resident e-services card onsite.
How to use e-services
You can use your e-services card to:
- access One Search for print and electronic books, journals, article databases, newspapers, manuscripts, videos, images, sound recordings and more.
You can access One Search 24/7 offsite, or onsite. Non-Queensland residents can access e-books and articles onsite only.
Terms and conditions apply when using online databases. - access computers on levels 2, 3, and 4 at the State Library.
Your e-services card gives you three hours access per day to internet and software programs. - book a computer at the State Library or via the web.
- request items from stored collections via OneSearch.
You can do this offsite so that items will be waiting for you when you visit the State Library. - personalise your search, check the status of your requests and set up alerts so you will be advised when new material has arrived in your nominated subject.
- add comments and tags to the items in our collection.
- borrow music scores (terms and conditions apply).
- print and photocopy by adding credit to your card.
The State Library is a reference and research library and does not lend its collections directly to individuals. State Library resources may be accessible on interlibrary loan through your local public library.
How to renew or update your e-services
e-services cards are valid for two years.
If you have lost your card, have changed your contact details or your card is due for renewal please telephone + 61 7 3840 7850 or complete our online form new window, external service .
