Our involvement

The State Library of Queensland has been an active participant since 2002, enhancing the Queensland content of the archive. Our participation in PANDORA:

  • ensures that  Queensland websites are preserved for future generations
  • provides selection guidelines which emphasise Queensland content and web material published and created in Queensland

Suggest a site

PANDORA contains a wide range of selected online resources.  These include publications from government agencies, academic institutions and other publishers; websites of numerous organisations and community groups; and sites covering various subject areas, interests and activities.  Also included are political issues and election campaigns, festivals and events, and Australian personalities. Recent collecting initiatives include Floods, Queensland (Dec. 2010 - Jan. 2011); Tropical Cyclone Yasi; and 2012 Queensland State Elections.

New resources are added to PANDORA selectively, with an emphasis on collecting and preserving publications and websites considered authoritative, significant and with long-term research value. Your suggestions are important to help ensure that Queensland websites are archived for future generations.  Please consult the selection guidelines [Document in PDF format 47 kb] and submit your site for consideration.
