Storytelling resources
The Public Library Development collection has a number of resources available for loan to public libraries to supplement their own resources and storytelling programs. This collection has the call number prefix: J*S..
These include:
- Storytelling kits which may include books and activity-based props such as puppets, felt pieces, soft toys, felt boards or percussion instruments. Some kits follow a common theme e.g. Pirates or Christmas. They can be found in the PLS Catalogue by limiting the search to the picture books collection and using keywords junior storytelling resource.

Big books or oversized picture books, suitable for showing to a group.

Picture books within the storytelling collection that are in good presentation quality. They are only intended to be read to an audience and not for general circulation.
All resources are suitable for the under 5 year age group and are available on bulk loan, via the request procedure. For bulk loans please use the Online forms or request individual items via the catalogue.
