Funding acknowledgment

The Queensland Government, through State Library of Queensland, contributes funding to local government to deliver library services to the Queensland public.

Local governments are required, as a condition of funding, to acknowledge the financial assistance provided by the Queensland Government. By acknowledging this support, local governments are informing the community about how public funding is being spent.

Public Library Grant funding (for collections and discretionary projects)

Queensland Government logo and State Library of Queensland logo must appear prominently in the library space (minimum requirement) and on printed material, banners, electronic media, media releases, media alerts, and the library website, where appropriate. Acknowledgment is a requirement under the Service Level Agreement under which funding is granted.

The following form of acknowledgment is to be used:

[Name of library service] receives financial assistance from the Queensland Government through State Library of Queensland.

Special project funding

Where State Library of Queensland contributes funding to local government library projects, Queensland Government logo and State Library of Queensland logo must appear on / in printed material, banners, electronic media, media releases, and media alerts relating to the project.

The following form of acknowledgment is to be used:

This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through State Library of Queensland.

In 2012, some funded projects may be delivered in support of the National Year of Reading initiative. These projects must also feature the National Year of Reading logo [new window] on any publicity and printed material.
